Glow Ball Golf OutingThe first annual "Glow Ball Golf Outing" took place on September 20th, 2013. It was the first fundraising event held to benefit the Douglas County Farm Bureau Foundation. Since then it has become one of the Foundations anchor events with on average over 100 people in attendance.
The event is hosted at Iron Horse Golf Course. The evening starts off with a cocktails followed by dinner and a silent auction. When the sun sets the fun begins! A condensed golf course of nine holes is constructed and lit with numerous glow sticks. Specialty golf balls are used that glow in the dark. |

Burn Power 4Ag
One of our most popular events for the Foundation is the "Burn Powder 4Ag Shoot" hosted at the Olde Barn Sporting Clays in Oakland, Illinois every fall. The course opens at 9 a.m. with lunch provided at 11:00 a.m. Shooters must bring their own gun and ammunition; ammo can be bought at the Olde Barn Pro Shop. Prizes are awarded to the top shooters and teams and gun raffle are drawn.
All proceeds go to the Douglas County Farm Bureau Foundation. If you are interested in being a sponsor or participant next year please call the office for further details. |
