FOUNDATION APPLICATION PROCESS
The Douglas County Farm Bureau Foundation is a foundation dedicated to the youth of Douglas County. A scholarship program is available to assist students pursuing a college degree in Agriculture. Interested students may apply each semester for consideration. Applicants can receive up to one award per year of school; however, the applicant must re-apply every year.

Requirements and Qualifications:
- Student must be enrolled in an agriculture related field of study in college.
- Student must have completed at least one semester of college course work.
- Applicant must complete the application form, including signature certifying accuracy and acceptance of all stated term and conditions.
- Submittal of most current academic transcripts listing college courses and GPA.
- Submittal of an original essay defining his or her career goals and educational objectives pertaining to agriculture. The essay should be no longer than 500 words.
- Applicant and or guardian must be or become a Douglas County Farm Bureau member.
- Candidates may be requested to meet with a selection committee for a personal interview.
Terms and Conditions:
- The Scholarship is for one year, to be applied to the cost of tuition or textbooks.
- The student shall provide course schedules, evidence of academic performance, and other information particular to the release of funds prior to the beginning of the school term
- In order to qualify for the Scholarship, students must start their next year of study at the beginning of the next full semester following award of the Scholarship. Any student not beginning studies in accordance with this provision shall forfeit their funding and the Scholarship will be null and void.
- Failure to meet and abide by any of these conditions as outlined above shall result in termination of the Scholarship funding.
